Bengaluru: Depressed 40-yr-old woman jumps off building, dies

Kota: In a shocking incident, three students preparing for competitive entrance examinations allegedly committed suicide on Monday. The police have kept the dead bodies in the mortuary and started the investigation. According to the information, the age of the students was 16, 17 and 18 years.

Two students were from Bihar

Two of the students who committed suicide, Ankush and Ujjwal, were residents of Bihar. It is said that all three were friends and lived in adjacent rooms in the same hostel. One was preparing for admission to an engineering college, while the other was studying for the medical college entrance exam. The police have not received any suicide note yet.

Third student was from Madhya Pradesh

According to information, the third student Pranav had come to Kota from Madhya Pradesh and was preparing for the pre-medical entrance exam. Even before this, many cases of suicide have come to the fore in Kota.

Many cases have come before

In 2016, a student called for the closure of all coaching centers before jumping to her death despite clearing the IIT-JEE Main exam. In 2019, the Rajasthan government had constituted a state-level committee to reduce tensions among those studying in such institutions.
