Rahul Gandhi Defamation: Despite being disqualified from the Lok Sabha in the Modi surname case, Rahul Gandhi’s difficulties do not seem to be reducing. Patna court has now sent a summon to Rahul Gandhi. The court has asked Rahul Gandhi to appear on April 12.
BJP Leader Sushil Modi filed a defamation case against Rahul Gandhi in 2019. He alleged that Rahul Gandhi had insulted the entire Modi community by calling Modi a thief. Now, in this case, the court has asked Rahul Gandhi to appear.
Last week, Rahul Gandhi lost his membership in Parliament after a Surat court convicted Rahul Gandhi on March 23, 2023, and sentenced him to two years of imprisonment. Along with this, the court also imposed a fine of Rs 15,000 on Rahul Gandhi. Gujarat BJP leader Purnesh Modi had filed the defamation case in the Surat court.
Rahul Gandhi’s Lok Sabha membership was cancelled after being sentenced to two years by the Surat court, on which, there is a political uproar in the country.
