Punjab: Punjab Transport Minister Sardar Laljit Singh Bhullar on Sunday inaugurated the roadways bus service between Patti and Shimla. After flagging off the bus, Cabinet Minister Laljit Singh Bhullar said that the government headed by Chief Minister Sardar Bhagwant Singh Mann was running buses from various cities of Punjab to other states keeping in view the convenience of the people.
He said that the bus will leave from Patti bus stand at 10.20 am and reach Shimla at 10.30 pm via Amritsar, Jalandhar and Chandigarh. Similarly, the next day it will leave Shimla at 7.10 am and return via the same route and reach Patti at around 7.30 pm. The one-way fare of the bus has been fixed at Rs 585.

Government bus turnover
The Transport Minister informed us that Punjab Roadways registered record growth in earnings during the last financial year. During the year 2022–23, Punjab Roadways earned Rs 700.88 crore, compared with Rs 547.08 crore during the financial year 2021–22. He informed me that this increase of Rs 153.80 crore works out to 28.11 per cent. He said that the earnings of Punjab Roadways are increasing continuously, and during the next few days, buses will be run from other cities also.
