Punjab: An explosion occurred under suspicious circumstances late Saturday night on Heritage Street near the Golden Temple in Amritsar, Punjab. Five to six people were injured.
According to the information, there is fear among the devotees and the locals after the blast. However, it has been said by the Punjab Police that the blast could have been an accident. No terrorist incident has been confirmed so far.
The forensic team reached the spot and started the investigation. It is reported that some suspicious powder and pieces of glass have been recovered near a window on the spot. Amritsar Police Commissioner Naunihal Singh has told the media that it is too early to say anything.

The resident said that around six girls travelling in the autorickshaw were hit by pieces of glass. After which everyone has been admitted to the hospital. The Commissioner of Police, Amritsar, has tweeted and confirmed the information.
The situation here is completely under control. The facts of the incident are being investigated, and people have been urged not to panic. Urge the citizens to maintain peace and harmony. Everyone has been advised to fact-check before sharing anything on social media.
