New Delhi: In a henious crime, a money lender allegedly raped a woman in front of her husband as the couple could not repay the loan. The man also recorded a video of the shamful act and made it online on the internet.
He was later held by the police when the victim filed a complaint against him. Police have registered cases against the accused under IPC and Information Technology Act.
The incident is said to be from in Maharashtra’s Hadapsar area that took place in February that has now come to the fore after the accused was arrested.
According to the police, a man living in Pune took an interest-free loan of Rs 40,000 from accused moneylender Imtiaz H Shaikh but he could not return it.
One day in February, the moneylender reached the debtor’s house, asking for his money. Due to having no money, the man asked for more time but the lender got furious.
Sexual assault at knife point
Threatening her life and property, he took the victim’s wife at knife point. After which, he sexually assaulted the woman in front of her husband and shot the video of mischievious act and left.
For some days, the couple kept this incident hidden but broke their silence when he returned to sexually assault the woman again. The accused made the video viral when the husband barred him to come near her wife.
Mustering courage, the couple filed a case
On Tuesday, the couple gathered courage and filed a case against the accused at the Hadaspara police station. The police officer said that we have arrested the accused and further investigation is on.
The police has informed that a case was registered against the accused under relevant provisions of the Indian Penal Code and the Information Technology Act.
