Delhi CM Atishi And AAP Examine Crumbling Roads: Is It An Election Strategy?

Delhi Roads Inspection: Delhi Chief Minister Atishi, along with Aam Aadmi Party MLAs, former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, and Minister Gopal Rai, inspected the roads in the national capital on Monday.

Chief Minister Atishi inspected the roads in the Okhla area as part of the government’s road assessment and repair plan. Earlier this year, the Chief Minister had declared that a number of Aam Aadmi Party ministers are in charge of various road areas in the city.

AAP Ministers Assigned Road Oversight In Delhi’s Key Areas

Atishi will be in charge of South and South East Delhi. Saurabh Bharadwaj will look after the area of East Delhi. Gopal Rai will look after North East Delhi. The Central and New Delhi will be handled by Imran Hussain. Kailash Gehlot will handle South West and Outer Delhi, whereas Mukesh Shehrawat will oversee North West Delhi.

Delhi CM Atishi said, “For two days, Arvind Kejriwal and I inspected the roads in Delhi and found them to be in very poor condition. Arvind Kejriwal has urged all party MLAs and ministers to work fast and restore Delhi’s roads.”

AAP MLA Manish Sisodia said, “After taking instructions from Arvind Kejriwal, Saurabh Bharadwaj and I inspected several roads in Delhi. We noticed that most of the roads are in pathetic condition. There are several areas under construction for the last 7-8 months. Some areas have open potholes. We will take care of it, and renovate these roads. The BJP has ruined all the roads in Delhi to create trouble for people. All work is pending due to which many tasks have been pending and those need to be completed soon. Arvind Kejriwal has directed the Chief Minister and all ministers to work urgently to improve the road condition in Delhi.

Delhi Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj said, “This year, prolonged monsoon caused potholes and breakdown of many roads in Delhi. We are prepared to urgently renovate and restore all the roads. Manish Sisodia and I have inspected PWD roads in Patparganj and Ganesh Nagar.

BJP Leader Speaks On The Road Inspection By Atishi Government

BJP leader Harish Khurana says, “AAP leaders like Arvind Kejriwal and Atishi either think that residents of the National Capital are idiots or think that the citizens of the national capital do not know what is happening. This is just a desperate attempt to clear their image and save themselves from corruption charges. But, they are exposing themselves only. Arvind Kejriwal claims to have instructed Atishi that she must rectify potholes and develop roads but forgets that all the work in Delhi came to a standstill when he was in jail. The people of Delhi see through this; the city is in ruins, and development has stalled for the last 9.5 years. It’s quite apparent that the citizens of Delhi have already made up their minds that the next government will be headed by the Bharatiya Janata Party.”
