New Delhi: The trial of the Vande Bharat Express from Patna to Ranchi will start on Monday at 6:55 a.m. from Patna Junction and will end at 8:25 p.m. in Ranchi.
Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) of East Central Railway Virendra Kumar said that this train will leave Patna Junction at 06:55 am and reach Gaya at 08:20 am, and from here at 08:30 am to reach Ranchi at 1 pm. For the return journey from Ranchi to Patna, this train will leave Ranchi at 2:20 PM, reach Gaya at 7:00 PM, and leave Ranchi at 7:10 PM to reach Patna at 8:25 PM.
The CPRO also said that Vande Bharat will be carried out purely for operational or experimental purposes, safety checks, etc. before regular operations. He said that during the trial, general passengers would not be allowed to travel on the train.
The zonal railway authorities will conduct several tests before the train is finally run. The train is expected to run six days a week and will reduce travel time between the two cities. It will cover a distance of over 410 kilometres in less than six hours.
