This decision was made after a committee comprised of officials from the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and DMRC reviewed a previous order that forbade bringing alcohol in trains except on the Airport Express Line.

A Twitter user asked officials if he could carry alcohol on the Blue Line, which connects Dwarka Sector 21 and Noida Electronic City. DMRC answered. “Yes, two sealed bottles of alcohol are permitted in the Delhi Metro.” If a passenger is found acting inappropriately while intoxicated, officials have stated that necessary legal action will be taken against them.
