Rajasthan: The state cabinet meeting was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot at his residence on Tuesday. In the meeting, decisions regarding promotion, pension, special pay, and designation were taken in the interest of the personnel, and it was decided to allot land for hostels to various societies.
The cabinet has approved the proposal to amend the Rajasthan Civil Services Rules, 1996. With this, instead of the qualifying service of 28 years, the personnel will be able to get the benefit of a full pension only after completing 25 years of service and retirement. Also, a 75-year-old pensioner or family pensioner will be able to get a 10 per cent additional pension allowance.
In case of the death of the employee, his married disabled son or daughter and eligible members earning up to Rs 12,500 per month will also be able to get the benefit of a family pension. The notification of this amendment will be effective on April 1, 2023.
The cabinet has approved the proposal to amend the Rajasthan Civil Services Rules, 2017. This will increase the special pay of the personnel. It is noteworthy that Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot made an announcement regarding this in the 2023–24 budget, according to which it was proposed to increase the Special Allowance and Special Pay currently payable to employees and officers as per the recommendations of the Salary Anomaly Testing Committee.
The cabinet has now decided to forward their vacancies for the next three years, like those in the scheduled caste and scheduled tribe categories, in case of the non-availability of eligible candidates of the backward class and extremely backward class in any recruitment year. With this, the candidates in these classes will be able to get more employment opportunities.
The cabinet has approved the proposal to allot land to Veer Gurjar Vikas and Dharmarth Trust, Bhilwara, and Regar Samaj, Bikaner. The proposal to allot a 280.08-square-yard plot in Sector-9 of RC Vyas Nagar Yojna of City Development Trust, Bhilwara, to Veer Gurjar Vikas and Dharmarth Trust, Bhilwara, at 5 per cent of the reserved rate has been approved.
The proposal to allow 15,000 square feet of land at a rate of 5 per cent of the residential reserve rate to Regar Samaj, Bikaner, under the Golden Jubilee Scheme of the City Development Trust, Bikaner, has been approved. With this decision, poor students in Bhilwara and Bikaner will get the benefit of free accommodation.
