Noida: The elevated road will be closed to vehicular traffic from 11 p.m. on Sunday. This road will remain closed from 10 p.m. on Sunday until 5 a.m. on Monday. After this, on the nights of May 17 and May 21, the authority will get the work done by closing the elevator. This guideline has been issued by the Noida Police and Noida Authority.

Noida Authority official Gaurav Bansal said that in order to make the electricity system better and more attractive on the elevated road, new tri-colour decorative-type poles are being installed in place of the old ones. A total of 140 new poles are to be installed here, of which only 84 have been installed so far. Now once again, the remaining work will be done on Sunday night.

Gaurav Bansal told me that earlier the elevated road was to be closed only till May 7, but some work is left. Due to the remaining work, the elevated road will be closed three more times apart from May 7. During this time, the drivers will have to come and go from Sector 18 to Sector 61 under the elevated road.

Noida Police and Noida Traffic Police have also issued guidelines regarding this. The Noida Traffic Police said that people will have to use alternate routes during this period. Police say that if anyone has problems, they can contact the traffic helpline at 997-100-9001.
