Noida: The Gangajal pipeline burst near Shani Mandir, located in Sector-63 Chijarsi, Noida. Lakhs of litres of Ganges water are being wasted, and because of that, there will be a water crisis in the city for about 3 days. The supply of Ganges water has not started properly in the city, and accidents have started. On the other hand, the water supply is getting disrupted somewhere in the city every day. The incidents of pipeline leakage are increasing in different sectors of the city.

Gangajal is supplied from Ghaziabad to Noida. About 10 lakh people get Gangajal every day from this pipeline, but after the bursting of the Gangajal pipeline, the residents of the city will have to face a water shortage for the next 3 days. Due to inclement weather in the city, the pipeline could not be repaired, as the burst pipeline cannot be repaired until the water dries up.

The 240 MLD of Ganga water comes from Ghaziabad every day, and water is supplied to the city every day by mixing 330 MLD of groundwater. Only three days of Ganga water are kept in the reserve, which is over. Noida Authority officials have claimed that the line will be rectified by Tuesday night. A team of workers is engaged to fix the torn pipeline. On the other hand, Gangajal, in charge, says that it will take at least two to three days to fix it.
