Noida: Promoter company of MotoGP Bike Race demands Rs 51 crore from state govt to organise event
Noida: Preparations have started for the MotoGP Bike Race to be held in September on the Formula One Racing Track (F1 Racing Track) built on the Buddha International Circuit in the Yamuna Authority area. Fairstreet Sports, the promoter company of the event, has placed a demand of 51 crores from the state government for organising this event. In this, 18 crores have demanded maintenance and track changes. Has sought exemption from depositing 18 crore in GST charges. In the details sent by the company to the state government, it was told that Rs 110 crore is being spent on the licence fee of the organisers.
The inspection has been done by Manoj Gaur, Chairman, Jaypee Associates, IIDC, and Dr Arunveer Singh, CEO, Yamuna Motorway Authority. The most important thing is that 110 foreign media channels will be involved. This will be the 13th event in India and the 5th in the world that is seen by most people in the world. The works car at the Buddh International Circuit will be prepared for the MotoGP with minor changes to the racing tech, estimated to cost around Rs 5 crore. The MotoGP bike race will run continuously for three days.
Organisers said that since Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath issued the first tickets for the race, around 30,000 tickets have been sold so far. Moto GP racing is the second-most watched sport in the world, and its craze can be seen in India as well. Till now, the world record for the Moto GP bike race is 366 kmph. The organisers believe that this time India will set a new world record of 382 kmph. There will be an income of Rs 900 crore from this race. It will include 45 teams of six bike companies and 116 riders. 1,06,000 people can simultaneously watch the Moto GP bike race at Buddha International Circuit.
