Noida: On Saturday, Muharram will be celebrated in Noida city with Tazia processions. The main procession will start from the mosque in Sector-8 and 9, expecting a significant number of participants. To manage the event smoothly, the Gautam Budh Nagar Police has implemented traffic changes for July 29. The Noida Police issued a traffic advisory, urging people to follow the designated or alternate routes during the specified time. It’s advisable to heed the advisory to avoid traffic congestion and potential issues.
Traffic diversion from 11 am till late evening
Golchakkar, Sandeep Paper Mill, Sector-6 Chowki, Jhundpura (Udyog Marg) Traffic movement will be restricted on the route from Sector-6 Chowki to Jhundpura.
Traffic movement on the route from Haraula Chowk to Shivani Furniture will be stopped by Haraula Police Chowki to Shivani Furniture.
Traffic movement will remain disrupted on the route from Sector-6 Chowki to Bans Bally Market Tiraha.
Vehicles coming from Shivani Furniture to Naya Bans Chowk will be able to go from Stadium Square via Rajnigandha Square.
Vehicles going from Golchakkar Chowk to Jhundpura Chowk will be able to pass through Rajnigandha Chowk via Stadium Chowk.
The traffic coming from Jhundpura Chowk to Harola, Naya Baans via Shivani Furniture Chowk will be able to go from Stadium Chowk to Rajnigandha Chowk.
In case of traffic inconvenience, traffic helpline number 9971009001 can be contacted. The traffic police have requested the motorists to use alternate routes to avoid the facility.
