Noida News: A 30-year-old police constable allegedly committed suicide on Saturday night in Greater Noida’s Rabupura, using his service revolver inside a police vehicle. According to officials the constable, who joined the force in 2016, had been serving at the Rabupura police station for the last three years.
Officer Sarthal Senghar, Assistant Commissioner of Police (Greater Noida), stated that the constable belonged to Muzaffarnagar and is survived by his wife and a young daughter who stay back in their hometown. On Saturday, before the incident, he had a heated phone argument with his family, following which they called the police.

According to media reports, ACP Sarthal Senghar said that the constable had left the police station on Saturday night saying he was going to get some fuel for a police vehicle. He later argued with his family members who in turn contacted the police station to know about his whereabouts.
Investigation Ongoing After Noida Constable’s Suicide; Family Statements Pending
ACP Senghar further added that when the police started investigating him, the constable had already parked the vehicle in a secluded place and shot himself in the right temple with the service revolver. His body was sent for autopsy and further investigation is going on. Policemen further added that they have not yet recorded the statements of his grieving family.
ACP Senghar added that the exact reason for the constable’s suicide is still unknown, and his mobile phone has been seized for further investigation.
