Noida Family’s Taxi Ride Turns Terrifying As Driver Speeds To Evade Police; Arrested After Viral Video Sparks Outrage

A simple taxi ride for a family in Noida, Uttar Pradesh turned into a scary experience when the driver drove fast and recklessly for several kilometres in an attempt to evade the police. The couple and their children repeatedly pleaded with the taxi driver to stop, but the driver paid no heed.

The incident came to light when the family was travelling from Greater Noida West to Connaught Place in Delhi. It was barely ten minutes into the journey when the traffic police signalled the taxi to stop, but the driver sped up, sending panic among the passengers in the car.

A video of the horrifying incident has gone viral on social media, in which the family can be seen pleading with the driver to stop. The male passenger says, “I will talk, I will save you, I will not let anything happen… please stop, our child is scared.” The woman also says in a panicked voice, “Bhaiya please, drop us, then you go.” But the driver kept saying repeatedly that he was driving “safely” and would be caught if he stopped.

According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Central Noida, “Accused involved in rash driving arrested.”

The fear and anxiety inside the cab kept increasing. The couple warned the driver that their child was very frightened, and requested him to slow down so that they could get down. But the driver did not listen to anyone and continued to drive dangerously.

This video was posted on a Twitter account named “Greater Noida West”. After this, Noida Police confirmed that action has been taken in this matter.
