Noida: The Noida elevated road will be closed for three nights starting Wednesday. Vehicles will be prohibited from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m., while on Sundays, from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., drivers will not be able to use the elevated road. The authority has asked for a diversion to change the electric pole. After the approval of this scheme, the process of changing the pole is now starting. A traffic advisory has been issued regarding this.
The authority is getting the work of replacing electric poles done on the elevated Noida road. By replacing the street light poles, the work of installing tri-coloured decorative-type poles will be done here. Apart from Wednesday, April 30, May 3, and 7, the elevated road will be closed to vehicles from 11 a.m. to 6 a.m. Motorists will have to travel from Sector 18 to Sector 61 under the elevated road. The authority has given information about this.
Gaurav Bansal, senior manager of the Electrical and Mechanical Department of the Noida Authority, told me that old electric poles are to be removed and new ones installed on the elevated road. About 140 of these pillars will be installed. The tricolours have become of the decorative type. Out of which, only 16 have been installed so far. The remaining work will start on Wednesday night.
