Noida: The Noida Authority’s bulldozer has been running on illegal encroachment near DLF Mall, located in Sector 18, on Wednesday. The illegal nurseries and shops were built on thousands of square metres of commercial hubs. During this, many police forces were present, and the authority freed land worth crores of rupees.
The Noida Authority is running a campaign against illegal encroachments in the city every day. Action is being taken against those illegally constructed shops and slums on the roads. Senior manager Vijay Rawal said that illegal construction had been going on for a long time on about 7130 square metres of land in front of DLF Mall.
The cost of this land will be around 300 crore. A board of authority will be installed by fencing around the vacant land. Rawal further said, “We will also recover the cost of removing illegal structures from the encroachers. Therefore, we advise the violators to remove the illegal structures at the earliest.”
Vijay Rawal said that this illegal construction had been there for 49 years. In this case, a notice was sent by the authority. After which, these people went to the High Court. There, his petition was cancelled. After consulting the law department, it was demolished with the help of bulldozers on Wednesday. He said that a warning has been given by the authority that legal action will be taken if these shops are reconstructed.
On the other hand, the people doing illegal construction say that the ongoing dispute regarding the land is under consideration in the High Court. After that, it cannot be demolished. The victims say that their belongings have been removed without any compensation. Everything has been broken.
