Noida: After residents’ objection, High Court stops installation of multipoint electricity connections in Supertech Capetown
Noida: The High Court has now stopped the multipoint connections in the Supertech Capetown Housing Society located in Sector-74, Noida. In this way, the residents have benefited, while on the other hand, the Paschimanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam has suffered a setback.
Advocate Naveen Dubey, a resident of the society, said that Supertech Cape Town has about 8,000 flats with 5,000 families. The residents have already paid the builder in the name of a single-point connection. Now, in the name of the installation of a multipoint connection, Paschimanchal Vidyut Nigam was demanding money again, which was opposed by the residents.
Rs 20,720 was being demanded by the Electricity Corporation on one connection, while the residents said that this is wrong because they have already submitted the money to the builder, so why give it to the Electricity Corporation? In such a situation, the case against the policies of the Electricity Corporation and the builder reached the High Court. There, the High Court has given relief to the residents while giving its verdict. While giving the verdict, the High Court said that if the residents of the society do not want the multipoint connection, then they cannot be forced.
