New Delhi: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Thursday conducted raids at several places in Jammu, Kathua, Samba and Doda. It is being told that the matter is related to the supply of arms through drones from Pakistan.
Recently, arms and ammunition were recovered along the Indo-Pak international border through drones, which were dropped with the help of drones.

Terrorist Munir’s house was also raided
NIA officials also raided the residence of Faisal Munir, the main accused in the drone shooting case. He was arrested last month. The Jammu and Kashmir Police has made several arrests in recent months in connection with the drone case.
Weapons were recovered on Wednesday
On Wednesday morning, the Jammu and Kashmir Police recovered a consignment of arms and ammunition dropped from a Pakistani drone at Tof village in Jammu, located near the International Border. According to the police, a case was registered on February 24 this year at Arnia police station regarding the recovery of arms and ammunition dropped from Pakistani drones.

NIA recovered hidden weapons
A terrorist from Jammu had revealed that a Pakistani handler, Mohammad Ali Hussain alias Qasim, dropped arms and ammunition through a drone. It is being told that Qasim is the main operator of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Al Badr. During interrogation on remand, the terrorist confessed to his role in the Arnia weapon drop case. He also disclosed two places where the arms and ammunition dropped by the drones from Pakistan were hidden, police said. A police team along with the concerned magistrate is visiting the spot to recover the weapon.
One terrorist killed in encounter
Terrorist Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Mukesh Singh said, “There was no recovery at the first place mentioned on the tip of the accused, but at the second location in Tof village (near the International Border) of Phalian Mandal area, arms, ammunition were found. We also recovered a packet full of explosives.”
He further said, “while the packet was being opened, the terrorist attacked a policeman and snatched his service rifle. He fired at the police party and tried to flee from the spot.”
The officer said, “The police fired in retaliation. During this the terrorist was injured and was taken to the Government Medical College, Jammu. The injured terrorist succumbed to his injuries during treatment at the hospital. On the other hand, with the help of Bomb Disposal Squad, the dropped packet was investigated. One AK 47, magazine, Chinese hand grenade and other weapons have been recovered from the packet.”
