Greater Noida News Updates: An elevated route connecting the Iteda roundabout in Greater Noida to National Highway 24 via Shahberi is about to be built. A detailed project report (DPR) preparation procedure has been initiated for this purpose.
New 4-Lane Elevated Road
The 2.5-kilometer stretch between the Iteda roundabout and Shahberi is now receiving extensive renovations to minimize traffic congestion. While development is underway, a new four-lane elevated road will connect Greater Noida and Ghaziabad, passing through Shahberi. Drivers should expect construction and adhere to local traffic management until the project is completed.
Five firms have expressed an interest in this assignment. Once the DPR is prepared, a tender will be issued to pick the developer agency. Work is planned to start next year.
Total Project Cost
The Greater Noida Authority plans to connect to NH-24 near Crossing Republic through Shahberi from the IREDA roundabout. The project’s anticipated cost is roughly Rs 250 crore. Five consulting firms have expressed interest in preparing the project’s DPR, according to an official. After reviewing the proposal, an expert firm will create a detailed project report (DPR). The firm will be chosen within the next few days.
The DPR will contain geotechnical surveys, comprehensive engineering designs, cost estimates, environmental and social impact assessments, and a traffic management plan. Following this, a tender will be issued to pick the developer company. The Central Road Research Institute (CRRI) conducted the investigation.
Present Circumstances
- Road Expansion: Work is nearing completion to widen the current 15-meter-wide road by around 3 meters.
- Details of the Construction: The project demands creating the elevated road, enlarging the road, and installing drainage systems.
Information About Travel
- Obey Traffic Rules: To ensure a safe journey, drivers should heed all traffic signs and local authorities’ directives.
- Project completion: It is anticipated that the elevated road would soon be finished as part of a bigger project to enhance connectivity between Greater Noida and Ghaziabad.
- Expect Delays: Drivers should plan for detours and expect traffic bottlenecks as construction progresses.
The development of an elevated road in Greater Noida West would improve traffic flow and decrease traffic jams. This would improve regional connections and provide access to the Delhi-Meerut Expressway.
