Naxalites set bus on fire in Chhattisgarh’ Dantewada, all passengers safe
Chhattisgarh: Maoists set up a bus on fire which was travelling between Narayanpur and Dantewada on Saturday. At the time of the fire, 21 passengers were on board the bus. Although the Naxalites have not harmed any passengers, Everyone is safe. The Naxalites have also thrown pamphlets of PM Modi.
The matter took place near Ghotia Chowk in the Dantewada district, between Malewahi and Bodli CRPF Camp. It is alleged that 20–25 Naxalites suddenly attacked. The passengers were asked to get off the bus, after which the bus was set on fire and nearby CRPF camps were alerted.
The Gangalur police station area of Bijapur is Naxal-affected. On Saturday morning, the police went out in the anti-Naxal campaign towards Korcholi, Savnar, and Todka. The team had personnel from the DRG, STF, and the 85th Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force. There was an encounter between Naxalites and police in the forest near Savanar around 9 a.m. A search operation is going on on the spot.

On Friday, Maoists blew up a culvert by planting an IED near Potampara, 20 km from Bijapur district headquarters. In the blast, about 10-foot-deep pits have been made in CC Road. After this, the traffic on the Bijapur-Gangalore road has come to a standstill. CRPF jawans have beaten the road. It is estimated that 30 to 40 kg of explosives has been used in it.
