Woman Killed, Man Hurt in Thane Hit-and-Run Accident

A police officer from Kasarwadavali police station said that the man and woman were returning from a party when an unidentified vehicle hit their bike.

In a tragic incident, a woman was killed and a man sustained severe injuries after an unidentified vehicle hit their motorbike in Maharashtra’s Thane.

According to PTI, police said that the incident took place on October 19 around 11:30 pm. The mishap occurred under a skywalk bridge at Vijay Garden on Ghodbunder Road.

A police officer from Kasarwadavali police station said that the man and woman were returning from a party when an unidentified vehicle hit their bike.

The deceased was identified as Swati, who was the pillion rider. She sustained severe head injuries and died on the spot.

The man also sustained injuries, and his arm was fractured in the incident. He was admitted to a hospital for treatment. The police sent Swati’s body for postmortem and launched a probe to trace the vehicle involved in the hit-and-run case.
