In the race for high-profile property deals, Seema Singh, the daughter-in-law of Alkem Laboratories’ promoter family has made a notable move by purchasing a ‘luxurious Rs 185 crore sea-view apartment’ in Mumbai’s posh Worli area. The residence, located on the 30th floor of the A-wing spans 14,866 square feet, according to reports. This comes shortly after a 24-year-old successful business tycoon and Tech founder Rishi Parti made headlines for acquiring a luxurious ₹190 crore penthouse in Gurugram.
Who Is Seema Singh?
Seema Singh, the wife of Mrityunjay Singh is a businesswoman and a prominent figure in India’s pharmaceutical industry. She is the promoter of Alkem Lab, the leading pharma company jointly founded by Samprada Singh and Basudeo Narayan Singh. Originally from Jehanabad, Bihar, she reportedly holds a 2.16% stake in the company.
Singh’s real estate deal stands as the second-largest in Mumbai in 2024 and includes as many as nine parking slots. Reports revealed that Singh purchased the apartment directly from the project’s developer Lodha Group. She completed the registration last Wednesday with a payment of Rs 9.25 crore in stamp duty. The deal was registered on December 11, 2024, at a per sq ft rate of ₹1.24 lakh.
