THIS State Just Changed The Rules – Marathi Now Must For Official Work

This new rule is set by the state planning department which made compulsory for the employees to speak in Marathi language for all communication, official signs, and documents.

The Maharashtra government has made a decision that all officials in government and semi-government offices must speak only in Marathi.

The planning department also issued the notification saying that If any employee does not follow this rule, they may face disciplinary action.

The notification made it clear that “All officials must use Marathi language while interacting with visitors, except for visitors from outside India and non-Marathi speaking states,”

Visitors to government offices also need to communicate in Marathi, except for those who do not speak the language.

Officials must make sure that text is shown in the Marathi Devanagari script along with Roman letters on computer keyboards and printers.

The Devendra Fadnavis -led BJP government says this rule is to promote Marathi in public affairs, protect and grow the language, and support Marathi culture within the state.
