Shocking Attack On Dalit Men Suspected of Theft in Maharashtra, Video Surfaces

The brutal assault on four Dalit men has sent shockwaves across the nation as the victims were subjected to a horrifying ordeal.

Ahmednagar: In a spine-chilling incident that has left the nation appalled, four Dalit men were subjected to a horrifying ordeal in Maharashtra’s Ahmednagar district. Allegedly accused of stealing a goat and pigeons, these victims were subjected to a gruesome assault that included being hung upside down from a tree and mercilessly beaten with sticks.

A shocking scene unveiled

The tragic incident unfolded in Haregaon village, where the four young Dalit men were targeted based on suspicions of theft. The perpetrators, believed to be six individuals, subjected them to a brutal assault that was captured on video. The disturbing footage subsequently went viral across social media platforms, sparking widespread outrage.

Swift action taken

In response to the disturbing video, law enforcement swiftly took action. One individual has been apprehended in connection with the attack, while an ongoing search for five others is underway. The accused have been identified as Yuvraj Galande, Manoj Bodake, Pappu Parkhe, Deepak Gaikwad, Durgesh Vaidya, and Raju Borag. Shockingly, one of the assailants reportedly recorded the heinous act, further exposing the brutality of the crime.

Terrifying abduction and immediate medical attention

The victims, all in their twenties, were allegedly abducted from their residences on August 25 by the group of attackers. Following the traumatizing assault, the injured victims were rushed to a nearby medical facility for urgent medical care. Shubham Magade, one of the victims, bravely lodged a complaint with the local police, setting in motion the investigation.

Meanwhile, X handle The Dalit Voice posted a video of the incident, which read, “A heart-wrenching incident happened in Maharashtra’s Ahmednagar, Suspected of stealing goats and pigeons, Dalit youths were stripped and mercilessly beaten by hanging upside down on a tree.”

Legal actions unfolding

The law enforcement authorities took no time to respond, registering a case under sections 307 (attempt to murder) and 364 (kidnapping) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Additionally, provisions of the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act have also been invoked, reflecting the seriousness of the crime and the intent to bring the perpetrators to justice.

This shocking incident sheds light on the urgent need for social awareness, change, and justice. As the nation grapples with the aftermath of this disturbing event, the call for unity and action against such atrocities becomes even more resounding.”
