Mumbai: A massive fire broke out in an apartment on the 5th floor of a building in the Vidyavihar (West) area of Mumbai on Wednesday evening.

Mumbai: A massive fire broke out in an apartment in a residential complex in Mumbai on Wednesday evening (November 19, 2025). According to reports, there was uproar due to a fire in an eight-story structure in the Vidyavihar area. Following the information, numerous fire department units arrived at the scene and began working to extinguish the fire. There were no casualties recorded as of now.

The blaze was reported in the Kohinoor City building on Peter Parera Road in Mumbai. The Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB) declared the fire a Level-II at 5.52 pm. According to officials, the building has eight floors above the ground.

Fire Breaks Out In Mumbai's Kurla Building

In a separate incident that took place in Mumbai on Wednesday afternoon, fire engulfed the ground floor of a four-storey residential building, located in the Kurla West area. Civic officials said that the blaze was triggered due to leakage from a gas pipeline. No casualties have been reported in the fire that erupted at 1.20 pm at the Mubarak building in Vinoba Bhave Nagar. At least four fire engines, along with other firefighting vehicles, were rushed to the site, reports added.

"Fire erupted on the ground floor of Mubarak building due to a Mahanagar Gas Limited (MGL) gas pipeline leak. The fire brigade rushed to the spot as soon as they were informed," an official said.
