BVA workers alleged that senior politician Tawde was caught red-handed with cash at a hotel in Virar. According to the workers, Tawde was trapped inside the hotel for over three hours following a heated exchange with them. BVA members claimed they had received a tip-off about a meeting taking place at the Vivant hotel, where Tawde, Naik, and local BJP leaders were present. They further alleged that Tawde was carrying a bag containing a diary that referenced the distribution of 15 crore.
BVA MLA Kshitij Thakur also raised concerns about the hotel’s non-functional CCTV cameras and called for action to be taken against the establishment.

BJP’s Response
Senior BJP leader Sudhir Mungantiwar said the BVA already lost the elections that’s why they are making absurd allegations against us. What thakur is doing is nothing more than a PR stunt. Is he really going to distribute money at ward level? Another BJP leader said that the “allegations are totally false” created by the opposition parties.
