Mumbai Traffic Advisory: Traffic movement will remain affected near the Wankhede Stadium and Brabourne Stadium on Sunday, December 14. In a comprehensive traffic advisory issued ahead of football superstar Lionel Messi’s GOAT India Tour 2025, the Traffic Police has announced temporary restrictions in South Mumbai valid from 12 pm to 11 pm today.
Due to the heavy footfall and vehicular movement on key routes, special arrangements are in place to ensure smooth traffic flow. Commuters must use public transport, such as local trains, BEST buses, and Mumbai Metro, to avoid inconvenience. According to the advisory, there will be no parking facilities at the stadiums.
Parking Restrictions
- Temporary parking restrictions will be imposed on the following key roads: C Road, D Road, E Road, F Road, and G Road.
- Parking is restricted on N.S. Road, Jamshethji Tata Road, Veer Nariman Road, and Dinshaw Vachha Road.
- Pay-and-park facilities will be halted during the event on Veer Nariman Road and Dinshaw Vachha Road.
Parking Availability
Limited parking facilities are available near Churchgate Station. Space has been arranged for 60 vehicles on H.T. Parekh Marg, 169 on Jamanalal Bajaj Marg, 290 on Dorabaji Tata Road, and 250 at Vidhan Bhavan (MMRDA). Smaller parking lots are also being arranged along NCPA Marg, Hornimal Circle, and Vinay K. Shah Marg.
Diversions
- D Road shall be one-way west to east from NS Road (Marine Drive) to the E & C Road junction.
- E Road shall be one-way southbound from the D Road junction to the C Road junction.
- Veer Nariman Road (south-bound) from Churchgate Junction to E Road will be open for traffic.
Roads to avoid
- Avoid Chandra Bose Road from Netaji Subhash Air India Junction to Mafatlal Junction (northbound),
- Avoid the Coastal Road from Worli/Tardeo to Marine Drive (southbound)
- Avoid the Coastal Road from Marine Drive to Worli/Tardeo (northbound).
