Maharashtra: Eknath Shinde led Maharashtra Government Tribal Minister Vijaykumar Gavit said that eating fish makes women’s skin smoother. He cited the example of the well-known actress Aishwarya Rai, attributing the beauty of her eyes to the same factor.

After distributing fishing material to tribal fishermen at Anturli, Gavit mentioned, “Have you ever seen Aishwarya Rai? She lives by the sea. She resides on the beach in Bangalore. She used to consume fish daily. Have you noticed her eyes? Your eyes will resemble hers after eating fish.”

Giving detailed advantages of eating fish, Gavit said there are two perceived benefits of fish consumption. However, the minister went on to explain that there are two advantages to eating fish for women.

Firstly, their physique tends to appear more-slender, and secondly, their eyes acquire a more appealing look. He attributed these effects to a specific oil present in fish, suggesting it positively influences both skin and eyes.

Vijaykumar Gavit was previously affiliated with the NCP. He held various positions in the Mahavikas Agadhi government led by Uddhav Thackeray. Following Eknath Shinde’s rebellion, he joined the BJP. Currently, he serves as the Minister of the Tribal Development Ministry.
