Mumbai: Insurance to be provided by Maha Mumbai Metro Operation Corporation to passengers travelling by Mumbai metro lines 7 and 2A (Gundavli-Dahisar-Andheri West).

S V R Srinivas, chairman and MD of MMOCL, said, “Apart from all the safety and security measures in place, we realise that securing a passenger’s commute for unforeseen circumstances is of utmost importance. Hence, we have provided comprehensive insurance coverage to our valued customers.”

The policy pays up to Rs 5 lakh in compensation for death and up to Rs 4 lakh in compensation for permanent and partial disability, depending on the severity of the condition. It also covers medical expenditures incurred as a result of accidents or injuries received during the commute. The policy provides maximum coverage of Rs 1 lakh for hospitalisation and up to Rs 10,000 for outpatient care.
