Mumbai: An animal abuse case from Mumbai where a 45-year-old man rapes a dog. The police registered the case against the man and arrested him.

The man was identified as Mithlesh Das and was arrested by Amboli police for raping a dog in Andheri, Mumbai after the video went viral.

As per the media reports, the accused was raping a woman in Andheri, near Balaji Telefilm on Veer Desai Road. During this time, a 25-year-old youth witnessed Das committing this crime. Following that, the young man notified the Mumbai Police. After the youth complained, the Mumbai Police registered a case against Das under Section 377 of the IPC and Section 11(1)(a) of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act. Das was both registered and arrested. In this case, the Amboli police are now gathering additional information in addition to the accused’s background.

This is not the first case of a person raping a dog. Even before this, such cases have come to the fore many times. Even before this, on the occasion of Holi, a man had raped a dog in Phulwari Sharif of Patna, the capital of Bihar, whose video also went viral on social media. In this case, a voluntary organisation gave an application to the Phulwarisharif police station, after which the police took action.
