Madhya Pradesh: PM Modi will virtually inaugurate the country’s second and Madhya Pradesh’s first solar city on May 10. The preparations are almost complete. Madhya Pradesh’s tourism centre, Sanchi, will become the country’s second solar city with 7.3 MW of electricity.

The installation of 12 solar panels in a 5 MW substation at Nagauri, near Sanchi, has been completed. Apart from this, electric generators for garden lights, highlights, solar drinking water, and people transport are also being installed. While solar rooftops have been made available more than the capacity of the houses so that the electricity burns completely. Apart from this, houses, markets, roads, and government and private offices will also be illuminated by solar energy.

Sanchi is a tourist spot located about 48 km from the state capital of Bhopal. There are a lot of tourists coming and going in this situation. Tourists from all around the world visit here. Odisha’s Konark is the first to become an entirely solar city, followed by Sanchi, which will also be a wholly solar city. The project’s cost was anticipated to be Rs 75 crore.
