Madhya Pradesh: A bus and a trolley (a big truck) collided head-on on the Maxi-Ujjain road in Shajapur, Madhya Pradesh. Five people died in the accident, including four women and one man, and 13 people were injured and admitted to hospitals in Ujjain.
According to information, a private bus was going from Madhavgarh in the Jalaun district of Uttar Pradesh to Ahmedabad when it collided with a trolley coming from the front near Dongta on Ujjain’s Maksi Marg. After the accident, people were around, and the local police reached the spot and informed the station in charge of Maksi that three people died in the accident, while two succumbed during treatment in the hospital.
Those who died in the accident have been identified as Ram Janaki, Meerabai, Sumitra Devi, and Radha (12). While one man has not been identified yet. The police told me that there were about 62 passengers on the bus. The station in charge said that the front part of the bus was badly damaged in the collision. After the accident, there was an outcry on the spot.
According to the Shajapur police, the injured have been identified as Sandeep, Amit, Parmatma, Neeru, Kaushalya, Sheela, Pushpa Devi, Anjali, Kajal, Gopal, Kedar Singh, Gopal Porwal, and Ram Kiloni. Everyone’s family members have been informed about the accident. On the other hand, the police have registered a case against the accused trolley driver.
