New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Raghav Chadha Monday filed suspension of business notice under Rule 267 demanding a discussion over ‘attempts of removing politcal opponents in the ruling dispensation.’
In the letter, the AAP leader mentioned that there should be a dicussion on “the attempts being made by the ruling dispensation to eliminate political opponents through frivolous criminal cases across the country, disqualifying them as elected representatives and putting prominent members from the opposition behind bars in order to suppress the voice of the opposition.”

This comes after the disqualification of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi from Lok Sabha following his conviction in 2019 defamation case.
In his letter, Chadha pointed out that there is an attempt to silence the Opposition. He said that those who are raising voice against the ruling government are being put behind the bars in false cases.

Earlier, AAP supremo and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal hit out at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) condemning the cancellation of membership of Rahul Gandhi.
