Man rapes 92-year-old woman on pretext of giving lift; accused arrested

Bhopal: A startling and heinous case has emerged from Shahdol, Madhya Pradesh. In this case, an accused raped a 92-year-old woman under the guise of providing a lift. The police apprehended the accused and began additional investigation after receiving information about the case.

According to the police, the elderly woman was on her way to Jugwari village in the Kotwali police station area when she encountered an unknown bike rider who took her on a motorcycle to the forest under the guise of providing a lift, where the accused youth raped an elderly woman and fled the scene.

Elderly woman in critical condition

The elderly woman who was injured in the event is still in serious condition and has been admitted to the Medical College Shahdol for treatment. Simultaneously, after receiving information about the case, the police apprehended the suspects.

According to the report, the woman from Jabalpur was on her way to her relative’s house in Shahdol’s Jugwari village. At the moment, the woman drove to Antara village. While the auto driver left her and returned to Shahdol, the bike rider crossed the line by taking the woman to the woods under the guise of providing a lift.

Passerby took elderly woman to hospital

According to reports, the accused fled the scene after committing the murder. Hearing the woman’s screams, however, someone there admitted her to the local medical college.

Following first aid, the elderly woman was referred to the district hospital. The individual who drove her to the hospital notified the woman’s family about the incident.

According to the ASP, a FIR has been filed against the accused under relevant provisions, and the elderly woman has been sent for medical assessment.
