New Delhi: A shocking case has emerged from Uttar Pradesh’s Bareilly district, in which a woman living in a colony within the jurisdiction of the Izzatnagar police station accused her husband’s friend of raping her. The police have begun their investigation by filing a case on the court’s directives. Pradeep Kumar Agarwal, the accused, is a Chandausi inhabitant.
On May 9, 2022, a woman married a young man from Chandausi in a love-marriage. Praveen Kumar Agarwal, a friend of the groom, also attended the wedding and offered his hand in marriage. He even kept them in his residence, which is his personal apartment. When her husband was not around, Praveen Agarwal fed her narcotic tablets, physically abused her, and threatened to kill her if she told anyone.

Due to social stigma, the victim did not even notify her spouse. Praveen then began to blackmail her. She told her husband under duress at that point. Shocked, her husband brought her to Bareilly and began living there.
Praveen Kumar Agarwal Bareilly visited him on November 20, 2022. Praveen pulled over and attempted to kidnap someone. According to Inspector Arun Kumar Srivastava of Izzatnagar, a report has been filed in the matter on the court’s directives. An investigation is underway.
