New Delhi: A case of raping a minor has come to the fore from the Mohanlalganj area of Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh. A Maulana raped a teenager on the pretext of the incantation here.
A Maulana of a mosque was arrested by the police on Wednesday morning and sent to jail for the crime. The Maulana has confessed his crime.
The victim is just 15-years-old
According to the police, a 15-year-old teenager living in a village in the area, along with her mother was being raped. Maulana Fakhre Alam resident of the mosque located in the village, used to go for incantation near Dariyapur police station in Ajgain area of district Unnao.
Mulana raped on the pretext of incantation
The incident of rape with minor occurred four months ago. The Maulana forcibly raped the girl by taking her inside on the pretext of incantation.
Mother kept quiet fearing society
The teenager narrated the incident to her mother but they kept quiet due to fear of slander in the society.
Father registered the police complaint
Eight days ago when the father of the minor reached home from Mumbai, the teenager told him about Maluna’s dirty deeds. On Tuesday, the victim’s father made a written complaint and demanded strict action against the accused.
Maulana booked under POCSO Act
After which the police registered a case against the accused Maulana under the sections of the POCSO (Prevention of Children from Sexual Offence) Act, including rape.
The police registered the case and apprehended the Mualana near the Kanakaha railway station. He was then sent to jail.
