Mumbai: In Maharashtra’s Chandrapur, a man allegedly died by suicide after killing his 3-year-old son as “there was no one to take care of the infant”.
The victim named Ganesh Vitthal Chowdhary was married to Kajal and had a 3-year-old son with her. Ganesh was addicted to alcohol and used to have confrontation with his wife often.
Despite Kajal telling him to quit alcohol, Ganesh continued with his addiction. On the day of Hanuman Jayanti, Ganesh returned home drunk, which triggered a fight between the couple.
Following which, the wife left the house, leaving her son to Ganesh. As per the locals, Ganesh was frustrated and depressed due to his drinking habits.

On the day of incident, Ganesh wrote a letter to his brother Nana Bhau and said, ‘Let me and my son be taken on the same bier and buried in the same pit. There is no one to take care of my son after me, that’s why I am taking him along with me. Please forgive me. This is my big mistake. OK, Good Bye. I love you son… Sorry, I am leaving.”
After writing this, Ganesh allegedly killed his son and also cut his own throat. Soon after recieving the information, police reached the spot and got Ganesh admitted to the hospital.

As per the initial investigation has revealed that he was under stress due to his wife leaving the house. That is why such an incident took place.
