New Delhi: In a viral clip, Samuel Paul who is a District Magistrate of Ambedkar nagar in Uttar Pradesh has given a disputed statement over facilitating locals affected by floods in the area.
As the Ghaghara River has overflowed, it left nearby areas, majorly, Ambedkarnagar in trouble with flood water inundating the area.
The officer said the governmnent can provide them medicines and care to the flood victims but they cannot provide services at home as they are ‘not running Zomato’.
“We have made arrangements for you to stay here. We will give you chlorine tablets. If there is a health problem, a doctor will help you. We can’t provide you with food if you stay at home. We are not running a Zomato service,” said the officer.

Twitter lashed out at the DM questioning his education. One Twitter user wrote: ” There is arrogance in the manner he talks, what’s the point of his education?”
