Pilibhit: Two sisters belonging to Uttar Pradesh’s Pilibhit district died allegedly by suicide after they drank poision. The incident took place on Sunday, said officials.
As per the information, the two took the extreme step owing to the years of torture they were suffering from the arguments between the parents. As told by the police officials, the husband and wife in question were facing problems in their relationship. This is why, they used to have fights frequently over many issues.
Even on Sunday night, the couple got involved in another argument that affected the girls badly. After which, Kashish, who was 20-years-old and her younger sister Munni, aged 18) took the extreme step and died.
As per the officials, they were taken to the hospital immediately where they went through treatment but could not be saved.
Regional leader Alok Singh said: “Kashish (20 years old) and her sister Munni (18 years old), daughter of local corporation Asim Raza, took poison on Sunday night. They were taken to hospital. district and died during treatment,” quoted the news agency PTI.
According to police, the fight that took place on Sunday triggered the girls who were pushed to a level to end their lives. Police said their daughters had suffered enough of this to take extreme measures.
Family Hesitated For Investigation
It should be noted that the family of the victims did not want an investigation to take place, which is why they tried to stop them. However, additional police forces were deployed to the area and the bodies were sent for an autopsy, said the police official.
