Lucknow: As many as 8 members of the same family died in a road accident took place at the Varanasi-Lucknow Highway in Karkhiyav area in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday, said the police.
Meanwhile, a three-year-old child suffered severe injuries in the accident and currently undergoing medical treatment. The horrific accident occured after the car carrying the passengers collided with a truck on the highway.

The victims belonged to Pilibhit district in UP who were travelling from Jaunpur to Varanasi. The dead bodies of the victims have been sent to the post mortem.
UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath extended condolences to the incident. He has ordered the administration to enure prooper treatment of the child.
