Lucknow: In a horrific and unsettling crime, two shocking cases of double murder came to light in the Kakori area of Lucknow. Panic gripped the city after two bodies were recovered near Mohan Road on Friday night. Upon receiving information, Police arrived at the spot and collected some evidence after thoroughly inspecting the crime scene.
Both Men Found With Slit Throats
The deceased individual’s body was later sent for postmortem examination. They have been identified as Manoj Lodhi and Rohit Lodhi, residents of Pan Khera, a small village in Kakori block. The former was an ITI student, while the latter worked in the railways. Both were murdered by slitting their throats, adding to the mounting fear.
Investigations Underway
The police are currently investigating the case from every aspect to find out the reason behind the crime. CCTV footage is also being reviewed to track down the accused person and know what weapon was used for murder. A climate of fear has gripped Kakori and surrounding areas. Meanwhile, the police have assured to solve the double murder mystery soon and arrest those involved.
Love Affair Or Enmity?
Preliminary investigations revealed that the murder was committed in a very planned manner. Police are suspecting if there was a love affair or land dispute angle behind the murder. It is believed that the victims were called for a meeting after which they were murdered.
Investigations also revealed that Manoj and Rohit left their home on the same bike to attend a party last Friday evening. However, they were brutally murdered about 5 kilometers away from their home. There may be a matter of enmity behind the crime, police said.
