Kanpur: In a case from Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur, Colonelganj police raided an Arya Nagar spa establishment where prostitution was discovered. Five persons have been arrested, including three girls.
Even before this, young men and women were discovered in deplorable condition leaving the spa centre. Prostitution rings operate out of these locations.
SHO Ratnesh Singh raided the Swarna Spa Center in Arya Nagar under the command of ACP Colonelganj Amarnath Yadav.
Along with Rahul, a resident of Amritpuram in Chakeri, and Pradyumna Kumar, a resident of Chiriya Kot in Mau district, the police detained three Mizoram women.
The ACP stated that unethical prostitution was taking place here under the pretext of a spa centre, and spa centre operator Markandeya and his partner Hitendra fled the scene. From the scene, 51 thousand rupees and incriminating material were seized.
Ratnesh Singh, the police station’s in-charge, stated that the accused are being prosecuted under the Immoral Prostitution Act.
