New Delhi: In Uttar Pradesh’s Shahjahanpur, a man allegedly attack his cousin brother who was going with his daughter sitting on the latter’s shoulder. Due to the attack, both collapsed on the ground, suffering injuries.
The man has been admitted to the hospital while the daughter got minor injuries due to the fall. Police has arrested two accused. The search for the third continues.
Father shot dead in front of daughter in Shahjahanpur UP shocking crime
A man carrying his daughter on his shoulder was shot from close range in Uttar Pradesh’s Shahjahanpur on Monday, police said. He told the condition of the person is critical.
The police has recovered a CCTV footage of the incident that showed the victim walking down a narrow street when a man coming from the opposite end pulls out a gun and shoots him at close range.
The victim immediately falls to the floor after the attack and so does her daughter, before the assailant gets on a bike with two others and flees the scene.
Two accused have been arrested in the matter. The victim, Shoaib, a 30-year-old businessman, was on his way to his ancestral home in Shahjahanpur. Two accused Gufran and Nadeem have been arrested. The bike has also been seized.
Senior police officer Ashok Meena said, special teams have been formed to nab the third accused, Tariq. One of the accused is the cousin of the victim, the police said, adding that the attack was motivated by some old personal enmity. The police is investigating the matter.
