In yet another tragic incident, a 45-year-old HDFC Bank employee, Sadaf Fatima, reportedly died on Tuesday after falling off a chair at her office in Lucknow. According to sources, she was declared dead upon arrival at a nearby hospital. She died due to stress caused by excessive work pressure, the reports stated.
This marks the third such incident due to work pressure if found true, amidst the uproar over the death of a Pune EY executive and a software engineer who self-electrocuted himself in Chennai.

The victim worked as an additional deputy vice-president in the HDFC bank. She was posted in the Vibuti Khand branch of Gomti Nagar, Lucknow. Her body has been sent for postmortem examination to examine the cause of death.

Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh Yadav has shown grave concern over the increasing tragic incidents due to the high work pressure. He said in a post on X, “The situation of corporate employees has become worse than that of bonded labourers.”
