Lucknow Viral Video: A shocking and disturbing video has emerged from Lucknow, showing an Amity University student was allegedly being slapped 50 to 60 times inside a car. The student was reportedly slapped by a group of his classmates and the video of the assault has since gone viral on social media. The incident took place on August 26 in the parking lot of the Amity University, Lucknow. The victim, identified as Shikhar Mukesh Kesarwani, a second-year law student had arrived at the campus in a friend’s vehicle.
Five students Ayush Yadav, Jahnvi Mishra, Milay Banerjee, Vivek Singh and Aryaman Shukla – have been named in the First Information Report that was registered on the basis of a complaint by Shikhar’s father Mukesh Kesarwani as reported by the NDTV. The reason behind the assault could not be immediately ascertained as there was no immediate statement from Amity University at the time of filing this report.
Victim’s Father Shares Detail Of The Assault
Victim’s father opened up about the incident, stating that his son is traumatised and doesn’t attend college any more. He has demanded strict action against the accused.
He further shared details of the assault that took place on August 26. On that day, he was picked up by a friend, Soumya Singh Yadav, in her vehicle at Hanhemann Chauraha.
When they reached the campus parking lot, the accused group of students arrived at the spot. They told Shikhar that they needed to talk to him about something. The students then entered Soumya’s vehicle and allegedly threatened and verbally abused the victim for next 45 minutes.
“On August 11, my son underwent a ligament surgery. He was walking with the help of a stick. Jahnvi Mishra and Ayush Yadav then slapped my son at least 50 to 60 times and also abused me and my parents. They also threatened to kill us,” victim’s father stated as reported by the NDTV.
During this time, two accused recorded the assault and circulated the video on the campus. They also broke the victim’s phone. His father was also threatened when he visited the college.
What’s In The Video?
In the video, a female student, on the front passenger seat, is seen repeatedly slapping him on his left cheek while asking him to put his hand down. She can be heard saying “Haath Neeche Kar” when he tries to escape the assault.
A male student is heard hurling abuses at him, followed by a female student who confronts Shikhar, saying “kya bola tha tumne? Character? Character?” and goes on to slap him a couple of more times.
