Meerut: A shocking incident has unfolded in Uttar Pradesh’s Meerut as an international shooter has come forward with allegations of physical harassment against her father-in-law, who is an inspector. The complainant claims that when she shared this distressing ordeal with her unemployed husband, he responded with laughter. Currently, the allegations are under investigation as authorities delve into the truth behind the accusations.

Shooter victim of harassment from close kin

The victim, a constable in the Border Security Force (BSF) posted in Indore, has accused her father-in-law and her husband’s brother of threatening her with false cases. She alleges that they have attempted to frame her in fabricated legal matters to intimidate her. The complainant has also made claims of physical harassment against her husband’s brother.

Complaint escalation and investigation

The victim reached out to the Senior Superintendent of Police’s (SSP) office on Thursday, providing her account of events. According to her statement, she got married in October 2022 to her husband, who resides at home due to unemployment. Her father-in-law, Sirajuddin, is a police inspector posted in Devband, Saharanpur district.

The victim alleges that when she complained about the inhumane behavior from her father-in-law and brother-in-law, her husband found it amusing and denied the allegations. Seeking justice, she visited the SSP’s office to demand action against her in-laws. She has expressed her intention to escalate the matter to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and even Prime Minister Modi if necessary, should the police fail to act.

SSP Rohit Singh Sajwan has confirmed that a woman has lodged a complaint of physical harassment against her father-in-law and brother-in-law. The authorities are currently conducting an investigation into the matter, after which appropriate legal actions will be taken.
