Lucknow: Gangster Sanjeev Jeeva on Wednesday shot dead outside Lucknow civil court.
Jeeva, a accused in the BJP leader Brahma Dutt murder case of Uttar Pradesh, has been shot dead in Lucknow court. The police taken him to the civil court of Lucknow for hearing in a case.

According to Police, two police officials and a child were also injured in the firing. The child was admitted to trauma centre.

Surya Pal gangwar, DM Lucknow informed that the shooter has been detained and investigation begun.
“Sanjeev alias Jeeva shot dead, a girl of 8-10 years was also injured & her condition is stable and is undergoing treatment. How many people came to kill him is a matter of investigation but the shooter has been caught and he is also seriously injured,” said Surya Pal Gangwar, Lucknow DM.

Brahmadutt Dwivedi was murdered in February 1997
According to information, gangster Sanjeev Jeeva was close to Mafia Mukhtar Ansari. He shot and killed BJP leader Brahmadutt Dwivedi on 10 February 1997. Dwivedi was a former Energy Minister in Uttar Pradesh government.
Jeeva’s wife asked for his security
Payal Maheshwari, the wife of Sanjeev Jeeva, had expressed apprehension about her husband’s murder. Payal Maheshwari is also a Rashtriya Lok Dal Leader(RLD). Earlier, She had appealed to the Chief Justice of India for the protection of Sanjeev Jeeva.
Payal said that during the hearing, her husband could be killed under a conspiracy. In 2017, Payal Maheshwari contested the assembly elections on an RLD ticke
