Lucknow woman destroys potteries of street vendors; FIR filed

Lucknow: The Lucknow Police have booked a woman under a non-cognizable offence for destroying pottery of the vendors on the roadside in Gomti Nagar area on Monday.

The action was taken after a video of Dr Anju Maurya, the accused, went viral on social media attracting severe criticism with the comments like “attack on poor and poverty.”

In the viral video, the woman can be seen hitting the potteries with a stick as the vendors sat helplessly.

An investigation has been initiated against the woman.
