Lucknow: A 17-year-old girl was found dead in Dubagga area of Lucknow district in Uttar Pradesh in which the victim is feared to be first raped and then murdered using a sharp weapon.

The police has seized a knife, covered in blood, lying near the dead body which was sent  for the post mortem report. The accused had attacked the girl on neck, sprinkling blood statins everywhere including the water bottle the girl brought.

The incident has caused a stir in the area as the girl went to the field for relieving herself.

Meanwhile, the police said the family doubts nobody on this and has no clue why the girl was attacked. However, after talking to the villagers, a love angle is being suspected in the matter, asserted the police.

After the incident came into light, several political parties including Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) unit of Uttar Pradesh prompted to raise question over women security in the state.
